Question:

What is the primary function or purpose of a business?

Answer:

The old school mentality (dinosaur mentality) is “to make money”, or “make a profit”. This mentality has proven not to work as sustainability and livability tend to be torn apart in the long term by the inherent nature of our current monetary based economic system. The correct answer is “to provide a benefit”. This altruistic statement is the key to a better world for everyone.

A better world - resource based economy.

We share in the principles and praise the model of The Venus Project created by Jacque Fresco and ask ourselves what can we do today, as a business, to transport us from where we are now (a corrupt monetary based system which can do nothing but drive us further into debt and slavery) to a future based on an economic model (resource based economy) that works in harmony with nature to deliver goods and services that are useful, meaningful, recyclable, and that can benefit anyone, not just a select few.

This future will need tremendous management and administration resources that understands the importance of survival – not by pushing endless sales and marketing hype onto “consumers” who are doomed to use and waste in order to make a business a quick buck, but by working in harmony with nature, and use those resources to deliver useful, practical, and needed goods and services to all people.

We challenge other businesses to help us create such a future.
